CELEBRITY Gogglebox has signed up Mel B and her daughter Phoenix Chi for the brand new series.
Channel 4 bosses are delighted and think the duo will be a huge hit with viewers.
The Spice Girl has a long history of making great reality TV, having starred on The X Factor, Celebrity Juice, and The Voice Kids.
And viewers may remember Phoenix, whose dad is Mel’s first husband, Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar, from her appearance on ITV’s The Games in 2022.
The pair join fellow TV stars Fearne Cotton, Gok Wan, Rylan Clark, Clare Balding and Gyles Brandreth in the sixth series of Celebrity Gogglebox when it returns on June 7.
A TV insider told The Mirror: “It’s so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they’re going to be fantastic.”
Mel and Phoenix won’t be the first new parent/child partnership on the upcoming series.
The Sun revealed Bobby and Jeff Brazier have made it onto the line-up after starring on the Stand Up 2 Cancer one-off.
A source said: “Producers are delighted that Freddie wants to join them.
“The trio have great banter and it will be great to treat Bobby’s huge fanbase to his rapport with Freddie.
“He has really propelled his family to stardom since coming runner-up on Strictly.
“Jeff adores working with his sons and the brothers are really close, so it could lead to more projects together.”
