GEORDIE Shore legend Gaz Bealde and his estranged wife Emma McVey have been forced to hit back at trolls over their new relationships in a rare joint post.
The former married couple, who share two children, Primrose and Chester, unexpectedly joined forces once again in order to issue a lengthy statement in which they addressed their marriage ending and the attention their new romances had gained.
Gaz was revealed to be dating pro golf star Charley Hull last month whilst Emma revealed she had found love once again last week.
The romances have come under fire with Emma facing backlash for unveiling her new relationship in a social media video.
Now, the pair have hit back to insist they are “really good friends” and that they are both “happy and happy for one another” despite being in “new relationships”.
He went on to further insist that the couple and their new partners all “get along well” despite the frostiness on social media.
Uploading the statement, typed out on a black screen, to his Instagram page, TV hunk Gaz posted: “We hate the fact we have to justify ourselves but when there’s so much speculation on our lives that isn’t true we have to.
“Me and Emma are better than we ever have been, we speak daily and are really good friends.
“Our marriage broke down a long time before we publicly announced we were separating, and it’s taken a lot to get where we are now but we are both happy and happy for each other.”
Gaz had previously told his fans that he and Emma split “three weeks ago” when he revealed the break-up in October last year whilst in response to her moving on “quickly” from a fan last week, Emma insisted they had been broken-up for “ten months.”
The ever-sliding timeline places Gaz and Emma’s split any time between early July and late September of last year.
The 36-year-old continued: “Our main focus through it all has been the kids, and we’ve done everything to make sure their lives stay settled and happy.
“Both of us are in new relationships and we all get along well, and we can say we are so proud of ourselves to be able to all stay as one team.”
Gary signed off the message with a simple “thanks” as Emma quickly re-shared the post to her own Instagram account.
Gaz and Emma’s choice to unite for their joint statement comes as a surprise given she appeared to take a cryptic swipe at him just one day ago.
In a hint there is bad blood between the exes, Emma re-posted a lengthy quote to her Stories after her loved-up image which addressed “losing love.”
The message, from an unknown author, read: “Life changes.
“You lose love. You lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone.
“And then, without you even realising it these pieces come back.
“New love enters. Better friends come along. And a stronger, wiser you is staring back in the mirror.
“No matter how bad it gets, better days are always waiting, hoping you’ll make it there to accept the smiles and joy they’re offering.”
Emma went public with her new man two days ago by sharing a loved-up snap– after The Sun reported how Gaz is dating England’s top woman golfer Charley Hull.
Charley and Gaz were spotted together in April at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club in Alnwick, Northumberland.
At the time, a source told us: “Gaz has made no secret of his love of golf and seems to have found his perfect match in Charley.
“She is at the top of her game and Gaz is enjoying getting on the course with her to pick up new skills.”
