EASTENDERS have fallen victim to yet another embarrasing audio fail during a brutal scene where Britney crashed her bike and hit the ground.

The moment on the BBC soap saw Whitney and Zack’s foster daughter Britney head out on her bicycle around Albert Square.

Britney opted to set off at speed as she zoomed down the street with Whitney and Zack looking on.

At the same moment, Billy Mitchell was preparing to head outside and decided to jog across the road without looking where he was going.

It caused disaster as Billy clashed into Britney and her bike as she tumbled to the ground as she recoiled in horror.

However, there was then clearly a glaring production error as Britney spoke to confirm that she she was in pain.

EastEnders are known for often using automated dialogue replacement, also known as ADR, whereby they add in newly recorded dialogue that was either not initially included during the original take of the scene, or then needed re-dubbing due to poor audio quality.

Describing how she felt, Britney said: “No my leg hurts.”

It was glaringly obvious that the line had been added into the episode much later on and it left fans in hysterics due to its disjointed nature.

Picking up on the hilarious moment on X – formerly Twitter – one fan referenced another infamous audio fail of Kathy Beale’s as they likened the two together.

The fan wrote: “Iconic bit of ADR in tonight’s episode, its giving ‘this breakfast is important’.”

Another person then put: “Whoever does EastEnders ADR needs to be sacked or retaught.”

Before someone else penned: “Iconically shit lol.”

The Sun previously ranked some of the best EastEnders audio fails that left fans laughing out loud.

Among them were the time Kathy Beale actress Gillian Taylforth was forced to record an extra line of dialogue which had no real need to be included.

It came during the height of the Covid pandemic in May 2020 where fans have long-speculated the botched scene was a result of an editing fail whilst working from home.

During an early-morning chat with Ian Beale, Kathy had prepared breakfast for her and her family.

As Ian quizzed her on what was going on with the Mitchell’s, Kathy said: “I weren’t really there for the full Mitchell bulletin.”

As she turned her back on the camera, she spoke again, almost on top of her last sentence.

Speaking down what sounded like a rather muffled microphone, the Beale matriarch said: “Come on, this breakfast is important”.

In another soap audio fail, Roxy Mitchell, played by Rita Simons, fell foul to an epic audio mistake during her years on the show.

During a conversation with Alfie Moon, bosses felt the need to add in an extra line of dialogue from Roxy as she checked in on her then-partner.

EastEnders facts and figures

THE beloved British soap has been captivating audiences for decades.

EastEnders follows the lives of the residents of Walford as they navigate love, loss, family drama, and community struggles.

Here’s the latest on:

She said to Alfie: “So how are you feeling about tomorrow, are you nervous?”

However, show bosses had limited time to play with as there was just a ONE SECOND window for Roxy’s line to fit.

It resulted in Roxy speaking extraordinarily face (or placed on two-times speed, perhaps) in order to whack out the line.
