And now viewers have pointed out how they’ve spotted a sign ITV bosses are ‘struggling’ to fill the TV guide.
TVZone tweeted how the broadcaster has been airing a number of repeats in their primetime slots.
They said: “If you wanted sign that ITV are now starting to struggle to fill the schedule, Sunday 28th April is a repeat of #TheChase Celebrity Special, followed by a repeat of #DealOrNoDeal (one of the daytime episodes, not a celebrity special), followed by a repeat of #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”
Other telly watchers offered up more examples to support the TV blog’s view.
One said: “And they showed series 1, episode 1 of Celebrity Catchphrase the other night. From 2013!”
A second wrote: “They have also a load of Midsomer Murders epsidoe that are new that they haven’t shown yet. Why are they struggling?”
“Saturday night TV used to be so good—from morning to midnight. Now, there’s nothing on but repeats,” added a third.
The TV schedule is about to pick up, however, as Britain’s Got Talent returns with its 17th series.
Ant and Dec will be back at the helm of the show as Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli return to the judging desk.
Meanwhile, the BBC is facing an epic schedule shake-up on Sunday as it broadcasts a whopping seven-and-a-half hours of London Marathon coverage.
