LOVE Island winner Jess Harding has shared the first photo of her new boyfriend’s face following her breakup with Sammy Root.
Jess and Sammy won the show over the summer, but just two months later Jess announced their split, leaving Sammy blindsided.
Now, Jess, 22, has posted a rare photo on Instagram with her new beau after keeping his face hidden for several months.
The couple appeared to be lying in bed under blue lighting. They both posed for the camera, and Jess drew a white heart on the screen.
Jess recently took to Ibiza with her new man.
The pair put on a put on a loved-up in the sun-soaked island as they were snapped looking overjoyed hand-in-hand.
Jess is thought to have told Sammy they were “better off as friends” while on holiday in Ibiza last year.
A source close to the couple told The Sun at the time: “Sammy feels blindsided by the entire situation.
“He hasn’t had any time to process Jess’ decision privately and she didn’t even give him the respect to speak face-to-face about her decision to end the relationship.
“Sammy was absolutely under the impression they could work things out once they saw each other in person again.”
Sammy has since sparked romance rumours with Love Island co-star Abi Moores after the pair exchanged flirty messages on social media.
Abi commented a flame emoji beneath Sammy’s recent holiday snaps and Sammy approved of her comment with an emoji of a couple holding hands.
Sammy was spotted dancing with the flight attendant on two separate occasions in October – looking shifty each time the cameras focused on him.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Sammy also hinted Jess was the one who instigated their break up.
Jess told him it was over by phone – choosing not to wait for a face to face conversation before making the news public and he was left stunned when their split leaked online while he was partying in Ibiza.
