LOVE Island has only just kicked off but one islander has got fans flustered, believing he’s a ‘walking red flag’.
The first 12 islanders of the series made their way into the Mallorca villa on Monday, with Maya Jama wasting no time in putting the cat amongst the pigeons.
The first island couples have officially been made[/caption] Ronnie has been coupled up with Jess White[/caption]Rather than the traditional initial coupling up ceremony, this year there was a twist and the Love Island 2024 cast were paired thanks to their initial impressions.
Maya told the group to rank the opposite sex in order of most to least boyfriend/girlfriend material.
They were then informed they would be coupled up with their matching order.
Ronnie Vint, a 27-year-old semi-pro footballer, was matched with Jess White, a 25-year-old retail manager from Stockport, after they were both ranked third place.
But while they seemed to hit it off immediately, fans are already warning Jess to be careful and branded Ronnie a “walking red flag”.
This comes after his intro video, and the fact he was seen getting close to Liverpudlian Samantha Kenny, shortly after a flirty conversation with Jess where he cuddled up to her.
Venting their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) fans shared their fears that Ronnie could be trouble for the girls as the show plays out.
“i cant tell if ronnie is being genuine with samantha or if hes playing them both,” wrote one, while another added, “ronnie is gorg but i defo feel like he’s gonna break a few hearts.”
“Ronnie is a walking redflag he didn’t even need to open his mouth for me to believe it,” said a third.
“Whoever out the 100s of girls that are going to end up with Ronnie I’m already sorry for them biggest redflag there is,” added a fourth.
While others nicknamed him “Red Flag Ronnie”, another added: “Ronnie is a menace, why are we 5 minutes into the nightttime sequence and he’s already kissed two girls on the top of their head?????”
However Ronnie decides to play it, he has to think fast on his feet if he wants to remain in the villa.
The first episode ended with this year’s first bombshell arriving into the villa– The Only Way Is Essex’s Joey Essex.
