BRITAIN’S Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas has revealed the very normal way she celebrated her victory last night.

The stage performer was the heavy favourite leading into the series showpiece and she didn’t disappoint, nailing a rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow to take the £250k prize and a place at the Royal Variety Performance.

It’s been a hectic morning after the night before with a host of media appearances.

During a chat with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on This Morning, Sydnie said she made a beeline for the nearest Wetherspoons after her win.

“We needed a pint and we needed it now. I love a Wetherspoons,” she enthused.

Prior to finding fame on the ITV show, Sydnie performed in stage productions including Starlight Express and worked as a gym receptionist.

But it looks like her days at greeting people on their way to workout are over.

She said: “My manager messaged me this morning and said, ‘I guess I should put your shifts on the rota as we’ll need to get cover?’. Bless her! I was supposed to go back into work on Tuesday but I was like, ‘If that’s ok?!’”

Sydnie is now in talks with several agencies and plotting her next career move.

Revealing she’s keeping her options open with regards to what’s coming next, she said: “Not a clue! And that’s the exciting bit about it. I’m so ready to just throw myself into whatever opportunity is there for me, that will have me.”

Sydnie secured her place in the final by delivering a spellbinding version of Frank Sinatra classic My Way which got a standing ovation from Rat Pack fanatic Simon Cowell.

It left her with an uphill task to better it for the final, but she rose to the challenge.

She said: “It’s so difficult because all my efforts went into My Way to try and make that the way that it was, and we created it, and then really luckily got through to the final and then you have three days to whip up a song.

“BGT helped me and when they said that version of Somewhere Over a Rainbow, I was like, ‘I can’t do that’ because that’s Loren Allred’s version and she is my idol.

“Obviously you put your own kiss on it and your own way. Loren was so supportive, I got a video from Loren and I sobbed, this is a ride I don’t want to get off of.

“Seriously, I’m so thrilled with my life right now, I can’t believe it.”

Sydnie added that she “can’t wait” to perform at the Royal Variety Performance for King Charles and said: “I’m just so thankful that everyone has seen something in me.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 & ITVX
