CORONATION Street actress Georgia Taylor has dropped a major hint at Toyah Battersby’s shock affair with Nick Tilsley.
The actress has played the role since the age of 17-years-old but this could just be her most scandalous ITV storyline yet!
Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) could be on the rocks[/caption] Toyah finds solace in the fiance of her sister as they work together to bring Rowan down[/caption] Georgia Taylor has hinted at more arguments for Toyah and Leanne coming up[/caption]In Coronation Street, Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper) is drawing Toyah’s sister Leanne (Jane Danson) closer and closer to his self-improvement institute.
As a result, she is becoming more and more distant from her entire family, including her fiance Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).
Toyah is determined to bring down the cult leader, whilst mourning the loss of the stillborn baby, and as a result she soon finds solace in Nick.
Georgia has now opened up about the changing relationship dynamics within the family as she hints it could lead to disaster.
“Leanne’s becoming very emotionally disconnected from both Toyah and Nick in a way that feels quite out of character because even though Leanne’s a very tough woman she’s loyal and she does love her sister,” Georgia explained.
“So when she starts pushing her away, there are definitely alarm bells ringing.
“Certainly what we’re seeing is that Leanne pushing Toyah away and Nick away is potentially damaging both her relationships.”
However, this gives the space for Toyah and Nick to get closer, as they both attempt to bring Rowan down.
Sahe explained: “They’ve found something in common here. What they have in common is that they both love Leanne, they’re seeing a change in her and they feel like they’re losing her.
“That’s inadvertently pushing Toyah and Nick together to take Rowan on.”
But the actress also admits that recent storylines have meant the characters have become closer, despite a previous frosty relationship.
“I also think how emotionally available Nick was for Toyah when he found out about Rose, perhaps shifted how she views him a little bit and made her look at him in a different way,” she admitted.
The star also revealed that as Nick and Toyah become closer together, the relationship between the sisters is going to become even more strained.
“We did a huge argument scene a few weeks ago and we were both physically shaking afterwards, I could feel my heart beating out my chest,” Georgia revealed.
She added: “I think it’s really difficult because Leanne’s always been her biggest ally and her biggest support.
“They’ve seen each other through so many difficult times, so many relationships and however many times they’ve been married or divorced or cheated on what’s remained consistent is their sisterly bond.”
Coronation Street's shock exits 2024
Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:
Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.
The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.
Paul Foreman will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.
After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite, portrayed by Peter Ash, was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.
Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.
Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.
The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.
Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.
Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.
It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.
Show stalwart Eileen Grimshaw is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour.
She’s had to leave the Street immediately after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
