NEW Love Islander and footballer Ronnie Vint had a secret fling with the show’s former winner Amber Davies.

The 27-year-old, who plays for Lewes Football Club in East Sussex, met Welsh actress Amber, 27, through his close friend and fellow Love Island star Olivia Attwood, 33.

A source said: “Ronnie and Amber enjoyed getting to know each other but things were not meant to be.”

Asked if he had dated a celebrity, he told The Sun on Sunday: “Yeah a couple but they are both in relationships now.”

Amber, who was crowned the winner of the ITV show in 2017 with her ex Kem Cetinay, 29, is now dating her West End co-star Ben Joyce after the pair met while starring in the Back To The Future: The Musical in 2022.

She told Fabulous magazine: “Ben and I became friends first – none of my previous relationships have started that way.”

Ronnie hit back at trolls who have mocked him for “looking old” in his promo photos.

The first stars of the line-up are being dropped every half an hour on the ITV2 show’s official channels, ahead of the series premiere next Monday.

But fans think the stars look older than their years – taking particular aim at 27-year-old semi-pro footballer for Lewes Ronnie.

In response to trolls saying he looks a lot older, Ronnie hit back and said: “Whatever really…I always say I always look a bit older.

“I’ve always been told I look older, do I look old?

“And I’ve had some mad shouts before. I might have to get rid of this long line on my forehead and hopefully I’ll look a bit younger.”
