AXED Hollyoaks star Steph Waring has dropped a huge hint she’s set for the I’m A Celeb jungle after her co-star Nick Pickard’s success.
The actress, 46 – who is best known for the role of Cindy Cunningham– was recently revealed as one of the soap stars part of the 20-person strong cast cull on the Channel 4 soap.

Steph, who first appeared in the village back in October 1996, will now have the time to take on other projects – including other shows she’d love to take part in.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Steph said: “I haven’t ever been available to do shows like I’m a Celebrity and Strictly because I’ve always been too busy around the time of them being on.
“But it’s something I’m open to now.
“I’d love to do the jungle – anything that gets me back to Australia!
“It’s a challenge as well and I do love the show.”
Steph’s co-star Nick, who plays Tony Hutchinson in the show, appeared on the 23rd series of I’m A Celebrity last year.
The actor starred in the programme alongside the likes of Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and EastEnders’ Danielle Harold.
Nick placed seventh on the show.
A number of favourites from Hollyoaks have taken part in Strictly, including Danny Mac and Ashley Taylor Dawson.
Despite being on Hollyoaks for 28 years, Steph was the only original character to be included in a recent cull of 20 cast members.
Discussing the news, Steph told us: “I was learning all week of the people who were going, and I remember crying at one of them, and I had this gut feeling that I would be too.
“But another part of me was thinking ‘I’ve just signed a year-long contract, surely it won’t be me’.
“Everyone was telling me I would be fine as I’m an original character.
“In the meeting they read from a script and a tear fell from my eye because I could just feel it in the room.
“They got to the end and said ‘And with that, we will be losing Cindy from the show’. I just kept saying ‘I don’t understand’.
“I was very distraught, I didn’t take it well – I was probably the most dramatic person they told.
“I just kept telling them ‘I’m an original character’. I was clutching at anything – telling them ‘but I was the first person to give birth on the show!’
“I could see the distress I was causing them because they were upset that I was so upset.”
Steph first appeared on Hollyoaks 28 years ago.
The star stayed on the show until 2000, and then rejoined in 2002.
Steph rejoined the cast in 2004 for a short stint, before coming back in 2008 and staying for good.
