LOVE Island’s Ciaran Davies has revealed a very awkward dating disaster ahead of his time in the villa.
Ciaran, 21, is one of the sexy singletons who have signed up for the new series of Love Island which will kick off on Monday.
Speaking to The Sun before making his debut, the Welsh rugby hunk opened up about one of his most disastrous romantic experiences.
He said: “One comes to mind straight away. Me and my best mate were on a night out and we met these two lovely women.
“We said, ‘how about tomorrow, us four go on a little double date’. So we met up with them, went to this lovely bar and had some food and we’re getting the drinks in.
“When it was my time to get the round in, I turned to the waitress and ordered some drinks, tapped my card and it declined. I was a little bit embarrassed by this point, but it got worse.”
Ciaran continued: “I turned to my mate and asked him to get the round while I see what’s happening, I was pretty sure I had the money. So he goes to pay – and his card gets declined.
“The girls got that round in and we did finish the night. But they went back to their hotel and we went back to ours we didn’t hear from them after that.”
Ciaran also revealed the Love Island legend he’d love to share a villa with.
He said: “I’d probably go with Paige [Turley], you know the one from Scotland? She just seems like a good laugh, a cracking girl and very, very attractive.”
And Ciaran had a surprising answer when asked what he’d find hardest to live without while in the villa.
He said: “Probably the boys. I’ve got my immediate friendship group that I’ve grown up with since we were kids and we just do everything together.
“I’m sure I’ll make some great friendships in the villa but [with your old mates] you’re already comfortable around each other and you’ve got the same sense of humour.”
