ACTRESS Danielle Harold has landed her first major movie role since being axed from EastEnders.

The star’s role on the BBC soap opera came to an end last year when her character Lola Pearce died at the conclusion of a highly-emotive and long-running brain tumour storyline.

Viewers were left in tears at the scenes which bagged Danielle a prestigious National Television Award.

Since then, the star has made a series of TV appearances as herself including a hugely-succesful stint Down Under on I’m A Celebrity.

Now the star is gearing up for a top movie role and she will be starring alongside two Hollywood stars.

Danielle will be playing the role of Chelsea in upcoming movie, American Road Trip.

The comedy film is due for release later this year after the actress secretly jetted off for filming last year.

She managed to squeeze the project in within days of leaving EastEnders and before taking part in both Celebrity Hunted, set to air later this year, and I’m A Celeb.

Danielle’s leading co-star will be actor Tony Cook, most known for his role in hit movie Dune:Part Two.

He has also appeared in the Netflix show You and played a Zombie in throwback hit Shaun of the Dead.

The pair are joined by actor and comedian Jonny Weldon in the film.

Fans will recognise Jonny from his role in the TV mini-series One Day as well as guest appearances in House of the Dragon and BBC show The Outlaws.

The movie won’t be the only time Danielle’s loyal fans get to see on-screens this year.

The Sun told how she will be making yet another reality TV appearance after offers for the actress flooded in following her time in the jungle.

She will next be seen cooking up a storm in the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen on the BBC.

A source said: “She is excited to show fans a completely different side to her and hoping to impress the judges with her culinary skills.

“It’s a high-brow series and she’s aware that she has to bring her A game, but she’s excited about the new challenge.”

She will be joined by This Morning star Craig Doyle, Loose Women broadcaster Christine Lampard, Strictly pro Vito Coppola and reality TV legend Charlotte Crosby.
