GEORDIE Shore legend Marnie Simpson has sensationally returned to filming despite claiming to have quit just weeks ago.
The MTV reality star is currently holed up in a Thailand villa with her co-stars filming for the upcoming 25th series of the show.
Marnie dramatically pulled out of filming the programme just weeks ago amid a dispute with the show’s producers.
In January, Marnie decided she wouldn’t return without “serious conversations” with bosses. She said: “I’d have to really think about it. And have serious conversations if I was to go back.”
However, she now appears to have made a sudden u-turn last minute after jetting out to join her co-stars on their sun-soaked filming trip.
Marnie could be seen relaxing alongside Chloe Ferry by the pool of the group’s luxury villa as she got well and truly stuck into filming once again.
The star could be seen wearing a microphone around her neck as she and her TV pal enjoyed some down-time from the intense filming schedule.
Marnie was the centre of the drama last series and it seems that fans could expect to see the same this time around.
The star has still refused to follow her cousin Sophie Kaseai and former pal Holly Hagan on Instagram despite them all currently living together on the abroad trip.
Marnie ditched her family member and former pal after she felt they ‘sided’ with Charlotte Crosby during the girls epic feud.
The Sun exclusively revealed how Marnie and husband Casey Johnson refused point blank to return to the show just weeks ago.
A source told us at the time: “Marnie was really unhappy with how the last series went down and how she came across.
“It made her miserable and stressed and she doesn’t want to go back. Casey is fully supportive and has had enough too.
“They want a fresh start and don’t feel like they need the show anymore.
“MTV tried to persuade them to come back for another round, as the ratings for the last series skyrocketed with all the drama, but they aren’t interested.”
Marnie was involved in an explosive screaming match with co-star Charlotte Crosby during the show’s last series.
The ex-pals were filming abroad on a group holiday when tensions boiled over.
Marnie has previously expressed how unhappy she was with the show’s crew during filming of the last series in Cyprus.
Speaking on GK Barry‘s Saving Grace, she put the producers on blast for the way they allowed drama to escalate.
The star explained said: “It probably all stemmed back to that.
“(The accommodation) was chaos. We had no cleaning products, we didn’t know where anything was, we couldn’t get hold of production.
“They were with other cast. It was a nightmare, we weren’t getting fed for hours.
“I understand it is hard even for producers but there were kids involved so I felt like it shouldn’t have been that chaotic.
“But all that happened, and it’s created this massive storyline for them.”
The Sun has contacted Paramount+ for comment.
