American Autumn Reeser was best-known for her role as Taylor Townsend on The O.C.

The performer, who started her career in adverts for fast-food eateries, played her preppy character from the popular show’s third series.

Taylor was an over-achiever with a lack of father figure and not much attention directed from her mother either.

Playing her troubled character – who was always latching on to attention from males – she styled her caramel-brown hair into natural waves.

She opted for a side-fringe and kept her make-up fresh faced.

Her character left in season four, with Autumn starring in 35 episodes in total.

Now, the star’s brunette hair is a little darker in shade, yet she still chooses minimal cosmetics.

Her latest candid selfies see her wrapped up in a blue cardigan as she sat on a bench outside.

Autumn accessorised with gold hoop earrings and a necklace.

In her caption she wrote: “The point of the whole game is to remember who you are… and who you’ve always been.

“Come home to yourself, be loved.”

Opening up

Autumn has candidly opened up on the telly role that shot her to worldwide fame.

In a previous interview she said: “I feel like there’s a lot of girls out there who could really relate to her [Taylor], who hadn’t seen themselves on TV in that way. I loved that about her.

“I loved that she made no apologies for who she was even though she wasn’t what all the magazines said was OK.

“She was like, ‘I’m still valid. And I’m awesome. And I know I’m odd, and that’s OK.'”

Autumn was on-screen as part of The O.C cast that also featured the likes of Mischa Barton and Olivia Wilde.

Fans of the series, which aired on T4 in the UK, were recently left stunned after Mischa revealed she was 17 when she filmed romantic scenes with her co-star who was aged 25 at the time.

On screen

The O.C - where are the cast of the TV show now?

AUTUMN Reeser starred alongside a host of famous faces on The O.C - yet where are they now?

  • Benjamin McKenzie was the ultimate teenage heartthrob as Ryan Atwood. Following The OC, he played Officer Ben Sherman in crime drama Southland up until 2013, and now he’s a regular in Batman prequel Gotham, playing another lead cop – Jim Gordon.
  • Adam Brody played the ultimate geek chic boy Seth Cohen. In The OC’s finale, fans rejoiced as he finally married his dream girl Summer Roberts, but in real life he coupled up with Leighton Meester, who played Blair Waldorf in fellow teen drama Gossip Girl. After The OC ended, Adam immediately distanced himself from Hollywood to try his hand at comic book writing, creating DC Comic series Red Menace
  • The OC was never the same after troubled Marissa Cooper – played by Mischa Barton – was killed in a car accident at the end of series three. Since The OC, Mischa has had her own fashion line, Mischa’s Place – which has since closed – and she also appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2016. She also returned to screens in Neighbours.
  •  Rachel Bilson’s character Summer soon became one of the show’s main characters. And Rachel landed some pretty decent jobs after the show finished, including roles in How I Met Your Mother, Nashville and movie, Jumper.
  • Olivia Wilde is probably the most successful Hollywood star from The OC. She played bad girl Alex Kelly on the show, who dated Marissa and Seth. As well as playing Thirteen in House, she’s also had roles in Tron: Legacy, 1984, and most recently starred in and directed Don’t Worry Darling.
  • Cam Gigandet played The OC’s ultimate bad boy Kevin Volchok, and quickly moved onto a role in Twilight after the show ended, playing vampire James. He has also appeared in hit movies like Burlesque and Easy A.
  • Following The OC, Kelly Rowan – who played Seth’s mum Kirsten – had a leading role on the crime series Perception from 2012 to 2015. The Canadian native has also appeared in a couple of other US TV shows since, including Castle and Murdoch Mysteries.
  • Peter Gallagher – who played lawyer Sandy Cohen – has had roles in How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, Californication, The Good Wife and Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. David Hamilton. Peter also released an album when the show ended and has appeared on Broadway.

Meanwhile, Autumn has also played Lizzie Grant on Entourage, Kate Andrews on No Ordinary Family and Leslie Bellcamp on The Arrangement.

She has also starred in a whopping 10 Hallmark Channel TV movies.

Autumn has also been in the films Sully, So Undercover and The Girl Next Door.

She has had a strong career on the stage as well as releasing an autobiography and starring on a video game.

Off screen, she is a mum of two and divorced from their father, Jesse Warren.

The pair married in 2009 and called time on their relationship five years later.
