GEORDIE Shore star Gary Beadle has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at the show after squashing hope that he could be set to return.

Gary, or ‘Gaz’ back then, was one of the central stars of the raunchy and randy MTV series, locking lips and hooking up with co-stars including Charlotte Crosby in a house designed for the party reps to let their hair down and get passionate

Trading parties for pampers, Gaz is the proud dad of two childrn.

But, after leaving the series in 2017 after six years, dad-of-two Gaz was reportedly in talks to make a comeback with some of the original Geordie Shore castmates sharing their lives now they’re parents and settled down.

However, after weeks of discussions it seems the talks have stalled, with Gaz making it clear he has no intention of going back unless certain changes are made.

Speaking to Fairplay Exchange, Gary said: “I’ve always said that about Geordie Shore, I love all the cast and Geordie Shore got me where I am. I don’t have a bad word to say about it.

“The thing for me is, I’m not just free now, I’ve got things to think about, I’ve got kids, they’re at school.”

The star, who is now reportedly dating a pro golfer after his split from wife Emma McVey, later took a thinly veiled swipe at the series for not developing beyond the raunchy antics that made it famous.

“The thing for Geordie Shore is, for me, it hasn’t evolved as a show,” he added. “It’s still the format of living in a house, with a bit of drama.

“It’s still like that kind of show. I would go back. I’d love to go back and see everyone if the show could just evolve a little bit.

“It’s a show that needs drama to survive. I mean, it can’t just be a happy show. If everyone on Geordie Shore is getting on, and is all nice and lovely, as a show, it doesn’t work.”

Continuing to explain his hesitancy to return, Gary added that, at 36, he’s simply too old to do what he did in the past.

“I couldn’t be going back there with the mindset of, let’s go out, get smashed, let’s have a night out,” he said.

“It should almost be a bit like Towie [The Only Way is Essex]. There’s little bits of drama but also nice things. Like, oh I’ve come back to see everyone. I’m going to take the boys golfing and I bet they’re so bad.”

“For me, in the back of my head, I’m at a good place in my life and I think I just don’t want to risk the drama,” Gaz concluded.

“Social media wasn’t really a thing when we were on Geordie Shore, if Geordie Shore started now, it would get cancelled.

“If you go back now, I wouldn’t even anticipate what happens on social media, people talking about what you’re doing and stuff.”

“If the show evolved and changed just a little bit, then I’d love to do it,” he concluded. “While it still remains Geordie Shore style of filming, at the minute I can’t bring myself to do it.

“There’s nothing against anyone. I just think it needs to just change just a little bit with the times.”
