A source said: “Ciaran caught the eye of Love Island bosses immediately.

“He’s gorgeous with a fit athletic build that will send the girls in the villa wild, but he’s also a sweet boy next door from Wales to boot.

“He’s the kind of lad you could happily take home to your mum.

“He’s been in talks with bosses for weeks and is set to jet out to the villa in Majorca in the coming week or so.

“Right now, it’s unclear whether he is one of the OG line-up or a bombshell but he is a favourite with the casting team and is sure to make a big impression with viewers.”

The Sun has contacted an ITV spokesperson for comment.

We revealed how series 11 will get underway on Monday, June 3.

Maya Jama will return as host and she looked red hot in the first official trailer for the series.

She could be seen wearing a silver boiler suit and chunky black heels while holding a huge flamethrower.

The TV beauty declared: “Where there’s love there’s fire” while Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff played – followed by the iconic Love Island jingle.

Bosses are expecting the new series to be the best yet, building on the franchise’s legacy.

Mike Spencer, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment said: “Love Island is back and viewers are in for a big treat this summer as we have a villa full of sexy singles heading out to Majorca all looking for the one.

“We are planning to turn up the heat this series with brand new format elements, an incredible group of Islanders and an Insta worthy villa providing the most stunning backdrop for their summer of love.

“Strap yourselves in for Love Island series 11.”

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller, ITV2, ItvBe said: “Following the hugely successful ‘All Stars’ version this winter, we’re delighted to be returning to the iconic villa in Majorca for another summer season of the biggest reality show on television.

“After 10 series, I’m delighted to say that this year’s cast of Islanders is as amazing as ever and I can’t wait to see the entertainment and drama they’ll bring to, what will be, a somewhat re-vamped show.”

One move that is sure to delight fans is the return of sister show Aftersun.

The popular programme was rested for the All Stars series in South Africa but will be back for the summer.

An insider said: “Logistically, it makes sense to have it back too as Maya stayed in Cape Town for the whole of the All Stars run, whereas she will be flying back and forth between the Majorca villa where the summer series films, and London where Aftersun records.

“Producers are already reaching out to agents to book guests for the first few shows of the new series when it returns in June.”

Love Island is set to be another summer smash hit for ITV, with previous runs already amassing a whopping three hundred million streams on ITVX.

The recent All Star series remains the biggest digital programme of the year to date, attracting the largest 16-34 commercial audience so far with 1.4 million pairs of eyeballs.

The All Stars launch episode also attracted over 3.4 million viewers.
