CHANNEL 4 fans have been left dumbfounded after they managed to ‘unlock’ four extra minutes of a beloved comedy series hosted by Joe Lycett.

On Friday, April 12, the second season of Late Night Lycett landed on Channel 4.

Comedian Joe will be helming the new series, which will run for six weeks live every Friday night.

Just like in previous seasons, Joe – who will be returning to his hometown of Birmingham – will be joined by local heroes, LGBTQ+ icons, and big-name guests from the worlds of comedy, TV, music, and film.

As the new season kicked off, fans took to social media after spotting that they had unlocked a way to watch four extra minutes of the live episodes on 4OD.

Taking to X(Twitter), one user posted: “There’s an extra four minutes of #LateNightLycett at the very end if you watch it on 4OD (the Channel 4 website).”

They added: “And it’s not just a little live bit. It’s an entire extra sketch with its own title and end credits. AN EASTER EGG of a show.”

Another teased: “That’s only for the secret QR scanners… Way to spoil it.”

While a third added, “I spent ages trying to get that last QR code before the show ended”, as someone else chimed in: “Took me longer than I care to admit, tbh.”

Dame Joan Collins, Richard E Grant, David Harewood, EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), ‘H’ from Steps and many other famous faces joined Joe in Digbeth during the first series.

Viewers were also introduced to controversial straight-talking newsreader Richard Yewtree whilst Joe gave away his own car as a prize.

Ahead of the series, Joe said: “The first series of Late Night Lycett was the most fun I’ve ever had making TV.

“From Paul Chuckle destroying my local corner shop to Katherine Ryan being trapped on a floating barge, the whole thing feels like a crazed fever dream.

“I can’t wait to go bigger and wilder in series two.”

During the first episode of the new season, viewers watched as  Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway and soap star Danny Dyer were introduced onto comedian Joe’s programme.

Late Night Lycett is available to watch online on 4OD.
