RALF Little’s relationship could be on the rocks after his fiancee Lindsey Ferrentino was spotted without her engagement ring on.
The couple, who have delayed their marriage for several years, are also no longer following each other on Instagram.
Ralf has just wrapped on his five-year stint on Death In Paradise, meaning he will have more time on his hands to spend with his American partner.
But it seems that the pair are more distant than ever.
Ralf and Lindsey got engaged in 2018 but decided to put their wedding on hold during Covid.
They’ve since been working on projects in the US, UK and Caribbean and they haven’t referenced each other on social media since June last year.
In September 2023 she celebrated her 35th birthday, cryptically writing that she was “further along than I thought I’d be in some areas. Further beyond than others.”
This appeared to be her hinting that her career as a playwright and screenwriter was progressing quicker than her personal life.
Interestingly, Lindsey has said nothing on her social media about Ralf’s highly-publicised departure from the BBC crime show.
She is living in central London and working on her play The Artist, which is due to start at The Theatre Royal Plymouth next month.
The couple met in 2015 when Ralf was cast in her stage play Ugly Lies The Bone.
They began dating shortly after, with Ralf moving to New York to be closer to Lindsey.
Then in 2018, he used her grandmother’s ring to pop the question.
Speaking about the proposal, Ralf told The Mirror: “She said to me if she ever got engaged there’s only one ring for her – her grandma’s, it’s absolutely beautiful. And free. I was like, ‘Brilliant!'”
The Sun has contacted representatives for the couple for comment.
This comes as former EastEnders star Don Gilet has been revealed as Ralf’s replacement on the show.
Death In Paradise’s Instagram account shared the news today and said: “We’ve got some really exciting news… there’s a new detective in Saint Marie!
“Please give a very warm welcome to Don Gilet who will play DI Mervin Wilson!”
And Ralf threw his support behind the casting, as he replied: “Have a wonderful time Don! It’s a magical experience.”
The role is in good hands with Don – who became a soap legend for his incredible portrayal of religous fanatic and murderer Lucas in EastEnders.
He recently acted alongside Jason Statham in the action thriller The Beekeeper.
He was announced for the BBC hit following an intense amount of speculation over who would land the coveted role.
Despite his credentials, some viewers are not happy.
Taking to the show’s subreddit, one fan wrote: “Still not a female lead!
“Hopefully he’s not as much of a klutz as Neville because I grew sick of those antics during his run and fell off after his second season.”
“Wouldn’t mind someone a bit more mature with a more mentor-like role for the cast, more like Jack,” another said.
Meanwhile, an eagle-eyed fan pointed out that Don has stepped foot into fictional Saint Marie before.
He guest-starred in series four, episode one “Stab in the Dark” as the character Andre Morgan.
Other viewers were more excited by the news.
Another said: “Totally didn’t expect Don! What a brilliant choice!!! Excited to see what he does with the role!!”
