THE Last Leg star Adam Hills was overcome with emotion as he opened up about his dad’s death on last night’s Celebrity Bake Off.
The 53-year-old told how his father initially had stomach cancer, which he beat, before getting leukaemia and tragically dying.

“My dad had stomach cancer when he was about 55, beat it, and then about 10 to 15 years later ended up with leukaemia,” Adam explained.
“He died at the end of 2012. To do something that can actually help cancer research, I think he would be chuffed with that.”
During last night’s show the foursome had to complete three challenges including signature biscuit bars and a showstopper cake dedicated to their best showbiz friend.
But it was the technical challenge which saw all four celebrities come unstuck, as Paul Hollywood tasked them with making custard slices.
The stars all struggled to get their pastry to be ready in the allotted time, while also having issues with making the custard.
Thankfully, the celebrities all did better in the showstopper challenge.
Adam decided to make his Last Leg co-presenter’s Alex Brooker’s prosthetic leg.
He told the judges: “Alex knows I’m making it, but what he doesn’t know is that I am doing it is because he is not my famous best friend but I thought a prosthetic leg would be easier to make than a head.”
But it Sara Cox, 49, who came out on top and ended up receiving the star baker apron.
Afterwards she admitted: “My kids won’t believe it, it all feels like a weird cheese dream!”
