Whichever group wins bags a cash prize, providing motivation for both hunters and fugitives to take the large scale game of hide-and-seek seriously.
But people tuning in at home have hit out at the latest installment of the reality show, saying that it has been “ruined”.
Some complaints have been made about the methods Hunters are allowed to use when searching for their targets.
Today Cathy and Annida got eliminated after twelve days on the run.
They were spotted by a woman stationed at a window to watch them and take pictures as evidence that they had visited the seaside town of Folkestone.
One viewer hit out: “I wonder what unrealistic action we will see the Hunters use today to catch the Fugitives. Such a shame that Channel 4 ruin such a cool programme with nonsense.”
Another moaned: “How fixed was that.”
And when fan favourite Alex got nabbed after showing up at his dad’s house, several people were suspicious that he had been set up by producers.
Someone raged: “Hunted is ridiculous given they’re told to go to places for tv entertainment. You’d never go to family if you actually had a choice.”
A second called it “scripted”, adding: “Where was Alex’s crew when he walked in the field? That was the part where the crew was no longer required because this is where we will catch you Alex, biggest bollox show out!”
A third pointed out: “Two men hiding in the grass in camouflage gear while a drone looks for Alex from above seems a bit unfair.”
