CORONATION Street fans have been left baffled after they spotted a VERY strange sign in the background of a Roy Cropper hospital scene.
Monday night’s episode saw Roy collapse in his prison cell and be rushed to hospital.
His niece Nina and close friend Carla rushed to see him and make sure he was OK, but Carla was left gutted when she found out Roy had removed her from his approved visitor list.
Roy made the decision after finding out Carla was protecting her nephew Bobby after he gave a false statement to police regarding Lauren Bolton’s disappearance – a crime Roy has been blamed and charged with.
But after DS Swain paid Roy a visit, he asked for Carla to come into his hospital room as he wanted to talk to her about what they had done and how he hadn’t told the police.
An exhausted Roy told her: “I’m still not certain that my choice was the correct one.
“And now I have failed to correct the situation, I am complicit in yours and Bobby’s crime as well as being partly responsible for the police‘s inability to find Lauren.”
Carla replied: “I honestly don’t think it’s going to make a difference to that.”
Roy was incensed, saying: “Honestly? Honestly? You bandy the word so casually it’s as if you didn’t grasp the meaning of it.
“I’ve no wish for you or Bobby to be punished for what you’ve done, nevertheless, your deceit is something I cannot move past.”
Taken aback, she asked: “What are you saying?”
Roy replied: “I feel very uncomfortable and I’d rather you didn’t visit me again, in fact, as far as I’m concerned…this is the end of our friendship.”
But as they talked, some Coronation Street viewers were distracted by a sign hanging above the ward door.
It read “Car Park A” and taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “Car Park A sign in Roy’s hospital room. Looks strange assume this is a mistake.”
Another tweeted: “Car Park A is a strange name for a hospital corridor.”
