A GRIM Netflix horror film based on a Stephen King novel has left viewers ‘feeling sick, faint and running to the loo’ after watching it.
Any film adaption from the 76-year-old’s books, including IT, Pet Sematary, The Boogeyman and Children of the Corn, has proved to bring plenty of scares.

Gerald’s Game, starring Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood, is one of the films created exclusively for the streaming platform.
The film, which was released in 2017, was directed by Mike Flanagan, who is best known for projects such as The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, The Midnight Club, and Midnight Mass.
Gerald’s Game’s official synopsis reads: “A woman accidentally kills her husband during foreplay.
“They had driven out to a remote area in an attempt to reignite their flailing relationship. Handcuffed to the bed, she soon becomes delirious.”
Even though it was released seven years ago, a Netflix fan recently took to fan page Netflix Bangers and asked other subscribers what they thought about the film Gerald’s Game.
One person responded: “Good movie, even better book!”
A second person followed it with: “Loved it – seen it three times lol.

“Well, it is Stephen King! It’s good!” insisted a third.
Meanwhile, someone else warned: “Be careful. The big climactic scene made me sick to my stomach. I had to take a break before I could come back and finish watching it.”
Elsewhere, a fifth person simply wrote: “Terrifying”.
Taking to X at the time of the film’s release, one user wrote: “Okay, I genuinely nearly just passed out. #GeraldsGame has been on pause for ten minutes. A film has NEVER affected me like that before.”
In a follow-up tweet, they added: “Can’t believe it affected me like it did. I swear I’ve seen worse. But I genuinely felt faint. Had to run to the loo and everything.”
Regardless of the movie’s gruesome scenes, Gerald’s Game boasts an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
One critic enjoyed the film so much that they argued it was better than the book.
On the review site, they wrote: “There are few movies that manage to outdo their source material.
“There are fewer still movies that are based on a Stephen King book and still manage to outdo the source material.
“Netflix original film Gerald’s Game is one such movie.”
Gerald’s Game is available to stream on Netflix.
