LOVE Triangle descends into choas tonight as couples are faced with being torn apart – as new triangles begin to form.
The cast receive a flurry of text messages from third parties who are trying to enter their couples.
Channel 4’s explosive new dating show sees six singletons coupling up with someone who is either their usual type, or breaking the mould by opting for someting new.
Each picker had 24 hours to text their two matches ahead of choosing one person to take on a blind date.
They then went on the extraordinary step of moving in together to fast-track their relationship.
But the couples are to be confronted with tests that no one sees coming, as a third party enters the mix.
The brand new reality show, which is from the makers of Married At First Sight, takes an emotional turn tonight.
Jaz tells the cameras: “I would be absolutely distraught if Matt was going on a date with somebody else.”
And Matt says: “Do I feel threatened? I’m not taking this well.”
Another star says: “This if f*****g awful, I came here to make a connection and not f*****g compete anymore.”
The shocking new series hit screens this week and kicked off with the singletons spending 48 hours texting two potential suitors, before choosing one for a blind date.
But the person they rejected will later move into their home, forming a love triangle.
At the end of the series, they will choose the one partner they want to carry on dating — similar to how Una Healy ended up leaving her throuple with David and Sian Osborne.
A TV insider said: “Love Triangle will be full of twists, turns and bombshells. It will put Love Island to shame when it comes to the amount of drama.
“They have scoured the UK for singletons to take part and there are some big characters, so there is plenty of passion. Living in a love triangle will put the singletons under pressure. But that can often bring people together.”
The show first launched in Australia and was developed by the people behind Married At First Sight, so it has all the right ingredients for success.
But a few people have been left describing Love Triangle as a budget version of Married At First Sight.
One person hit out: “So Love Triangle appears to be a combination of texting the first dates, and then married at first sight….
“With an extra partner thrown in to the mix… Not convinced it’s gonna be any good…. So far snooze fest!”
Another was unhappy with the casting, complaining: “Why are we getting people on these shows who are only there to promote their Only fans pages…come on producers, must try harder.”
A third sighed: “This is just married at first sight but instead of meeting at the aisle, they meet over text instead.”
However, they were hopeful that the tension would ramp up, adding: “Still gonna have exactly the same level of drama by the looks.”
