THE Yorkshire Vet viewers were left stunned after seeing two women straddle and sedate a pig ‘as big as a tank’ during the latest episode.
The Channel 5 show, which began in 2015, follows vets caring for and treating animals in the rural communities of North Yorkshire, England.

The documentary saw Channel 5 star Rohin Aojula make the journey from Huddersfield Hospital to attend to a pig named Pablo.
During the episode, Pablo’s owner, Libby, explained that his trotters and tusks needed cutting back.
Before he got started, she warned Rohin, saying: “I’m pre-warning you now, he might be a difficult patient.”

The vet admitted that her biggest problem with pigs was that they are knowledgeable but also very powerful.
The Channel 5 host dubbed it a “devastating combination” as the pigs often don’t want to cooperate.
He then explained the procedure and advised Libby they were going to partially sedate Pablo – however, it wouldn’t come without its stakes.
Rohin said: “Sedations within pigs, they’re not the smoothest of sedations.
“I have even heard of pigs passing away with sedations, but we will do everything to make sure it goes smoothly.”
Libby was forced to give viewers another warning as she explained that Pablo was her everything.
She said: “I appreciate that because he’s my entire world.
“So this needs to go smoothly because I can’t live without him.”
Rohin then asked Libby to sit on Pablo’s back to ensure that he would not get up during the procedure.
As Rohin sedated Pablo, Libby couldn’t bear to watch as she told the camera: “I’m like an anxious mother now.
“My heart’s starting to race, so I will be happy when he’s had this procedure done.”
A trainee also perched on Pablo’s back, helping Rohin with the job at hand.
She joked: “Never experienced this before, but first time for everything.”
However, as viewers saw Pablo before his sedation, they all took to social media and said the same thing about his large appearance, which distracted them.
Taking to X(Twitter), one viewer wrote: “That’s all a vet needs when he’s about to sedate a pig as big as a tank – the owner saying ‘he’s my world’!”
Another expressed: “That pig is overweight stomach hanging on the floor.”
“That pig! #TheYorkshireVet,” another exclaimed.
Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and Rohin admitted it went as well as it could have gone.
The Yorkshire Vet airs on Tuesday on Channel 5 at 8pm.
