STEPHANIE Davis was rushed to hospital yesterday after doctors feared she had pneumonia.
The 31-year-old actress revealed she had been struggling with a cough for three weeks before seeking medical help.
Fortunately Steph discovered she just had a nasty infection, and was sent home with medication to help her.
She told fans: “Had a bad chest infection for three weeks now. Went to the doctors today and they sent me to hospital thinking it was pneumonia, thankfully it’s just a really bad infection I can’t shift. My lovely mum sat with me for most of the day.”
The star continued by thanking her mum for her help, writing: “So grateful for all she does and has done for me. Felt like it was a therapy session.
“We ended the day on a good laugh, nearly wetting ourselves in the car park when she screamed thinking her car was bashed, dinted and scratched and then vigorously tried to wipe the mark off to realise it wasn’t her car.

The Corrie star added: “I’ve been put on steroids now (they never agree with me) and more antibiotics and something to break up my chest so hopefully can have a day cough free soon.”
Stephanie is currently pursing a career in music after leaving Coronation Street, following a short stint playing Courtney Vance.
Stephanie – who is also well known for previously playing Sinead O’Connor in Hollyoaks. – joined Corrie in May of last year.
She is in a long term romance with boyfriend Joe McKalroy – and is often seen wearing a ring on wedding finger.
The bling is in fact a promise ring and Joe is yet to pop the question.
Stephanie started dating Joe in November 2021 and he has become a huge part of her and son Caben’s life.
Caben is Steph’s son from her previous romance with Jeremy McConnell, who she met during her stint on CBB.
Steph appeared in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2016 and came as runner-up.
