UNIMPRESSED viewers of Jamie Oliver’s new cooking show complained that the series was ‘nowhere near reality’.

Unfortunately, a number of viewers have expressed their disappointment with the show and made their feelings clear on social media.

One wrote: “The Jamie Oliver air fryer programme is nowhere near reality.”

Another penned: “Jamie Oliver has discovered the Air Fryer and is now making a show about it… God help us all!”

A third commented: “Been thinking about getting an air fryer but having just watched Jamie Oliver’s thing on Channel 4 I now think they are utterly pointless.”

Despite mixed feedback to the show, a fellow TV personality has offered her support to Jamie.

Kirsty Allsopp, who has hosted property shows including Location, Location, Location, wrote on her X (formerly Twitter) account: “No one beats @jamieoliver, his new Air Fryer show onChannel 4 is brilliant.

“[To be honest], if it was on any channel I’d be saying the same.

“25 years since The Naked Chef he is still the most inspiring and enthusiastic chef on TV.”

After one viewer claimed that the programme was “an ad for Tefal” and “an hour long ad,” Kirsty replied: “Someone has to pay for the show to be made.”

However the critic went on: “Other cooking shows are made without a brand connection so I guess no one thought the content was good enough to fund it.

“Shame when it’s prime time Monday telly. That’s all my 2p was. On the plus side I washed my face and had an early night.”

It comes after Jamie previously shared his ‘quick and easy’ air fryer meals in the show’s launch episode on Monday, April 15th.

The offerings included peach Alaska and herb stuffed salmon.
