NETFLIX docu-series Files of the Unexplained rose to popularity as viewers became fascinated by the horrifying supernatural experiences it investigated – but there are some things the show left out.

The documentary ended up topping 3 Body Problem as one of the most watched series on the streaming platform with its exploration of group disappearances, ghost sightings, and alien encounters across North America.

In the very first episode, documentary makers delved into the Pascagoula Abduction of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker on October 11, 1973.

International UFO researcher Philip Mantle helped the producers of the show with their investigation, and has now revealed that there was a darker side to the story that did not make it into the Netflix series.

In an exclusive interview with the Sun, he shared that some of the victims believe there was a sinister reason why the creatures nabbed them from the river bank.

Philip said: “Calvin thinks that they did a medical examination, part of which involved his reproductive system.

“Even though I got to know Calvin very well it was difficult for him to talk about. He was embarrassed.

“He kind of lost his temper one day and said ‘I was violated’.”

The researcher went on to add that there were two other people on the opposite side of the riverbank that night who also had a similar experience to Calvin and Charlie.

In a voice re-enactment on the show, Charlie described his experience, saying he heard a ‘zipping sound’ when an object that looked like an aircraft with bright lights came down from the sky.

Charles revealed, “It seemed to hold me spellbound,” before explaining that three “aliens” who somehow didn’t touch the ground came out of the “spaceship” and floated towards them.

Charles explained that when the aliens grabbed them, Calvin went limp and fainted after he witnessed what was going on, while he was left “totally paralysed.”

He claimed that they were both taken inside the spacecraft and recalled how the searing lights made it feel like being inside a lightbulb.

Once the pair got inside, Charles was left alone and claimed a “big eye that seemed to come out directly from the wall” approached him and scanned him, and he could not close his eyes or move.

Once Philip started looking into what happened that night, he came across a couple called Vernon and Maria Blair who also remembered being snatched by the extra-terrestrial creatures.

Similarly to Calvin, Maria says that the aliens probed her reproductive organs – and thinks they wanted to use her DNA to make a creature that would look like a human.

Philip continued: “Maria is convinced that they were interested in human genetics.

“That they were trying to create a ‘hybrid’ so it would be part alien part human but it would be able to walk amongst us and look just like you and I.

“Mr Blair kind of had already confirmed that in a roundabout way and Calvin did as well.

“They took some of her eggs, she remembers this. She was terrified, you know, the look on her face.”

Philip has also published a book about his investigation into the extraordinary events called BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT – The Pascagoula Alien Abduction.

He is aware that several people are sceptical about the stories and understands why, but has urged any critics to read the research he compiled and see for themselves what they think happened.

The lecturer added: “Were we able to take all of this information and all of these witnesses and everything we’ve uncovered into a courtroom we could probably prove that something really extraordinary happened that night beyond a reasonable doubt.

“I can’t ever in a million years prove that they were abducted.

“In fact we’re not saying that, we’re saying that something quite extraordinary happened that evening and here’s here’s our evidence.

“We allow the readers to be the judge and jury.”
