BRITAIN’S Got Talent is back on our screens this weekend – which for Amanda Holden is the perfect excuse for a new glam wardrobe.

Whether she’s sitting behind the desk at Heart Radio or stomping the stage at BGT, Amanda has become known for her one-of-a-kind killer looks that leave audiences spellbound.

Proud of her figure, Amanda has never been afraid to accentuate elements of her body in her looks – often paying specific attention to her cleavage, legs or taut tummy.

In the live shows especially, they have often become more of a talking point than the contestants.

Here are just some of Amanda’s best looks since she joined the show in 2007.

Simple and Sexy

Even from an early time in Britain’s Got Talent’s history, Amanda has always balanced an elegance with a cheeky, sometimes risky, extra flare.

Oftentimes this could be a stunning gown, with a slit in the dress to show off her legs.

For example, one lavender outfit came with a bejeweled neckline and straps, but also had a thigh high split so Amanda could show off her pins.

Another outfit in 2015 saw Amanda sport a navy blue, flowing gown with a thigh high split and a plunging neckline.

She later shared on Instagram she wanted to ‘channel Khaleesi from Game Of Thrones’ in the look.

Over time, she has continued to push boundaries on the family friendly show – with every outfit almost earning as much attention as the acts she’s judging.

In fact, in 2017 she was given the esteemed title of‘most complained about TV moment’ with Ofcom, after viewers moaned in their thousands that her black dress was ‘inappropriate’ for the family friendly show.

The ‘Ofcom dress’

In what’s now affectionately known as the ‘Ofcom’ dress, Amanda raised eyebrows and heart rates alike with the killer slinky outfit.

As the live shows continued, Amanda arrived on stage in a skintight, floor-length black gown with a neckline that plunged down to her navel.

The £11,250 dress by Julien Macdonald also had sheer panelling, with see-through peek-a-boo patterns around her hips and legs, and was completely backless, connecting again at the bottom of her spine with a silver chain.

More than 663 complaints were made about her in the dress afterwards, questioning how appropriate it was given the show’s target audience.

The complaint was not withheld, with Ofcom deciding against launching a full investigation, claiming the women’s wardrobe choices had not breached the UK broadcasting code.

The organisation said Amanda’s choice of clothing “would not have exceeded most viewers’ expectations”.

“In our view, the dresses appropriately covered the judges and they were not portrayed in a sexualised way,” a spokesman said.

Since then Amanda has continued to go further with her looks, seemingly only encouraged by the backlash as she and her stylists opt to see how far she can go.

She even laughed off the controversy in a chat with The Sun two years later, stating: “My t*ts seem to become the show’s biggest talking point every year.

“We’ve had plenty of complaints apparently, but none from home, let me tell you.”

Pushing the Boundaries

In light of the Ofcom complaints, Amanda let it be known that it didn’t bother her – and in actuality even welcomed the backlash.

She told The Sun before the 2017 semi-final: “Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do. I haven’t done my job if they aren’t.”

By 2019 she had gone even further, appearing on stage in a slinky white dress that only fell down one side of her torso, with a spider’s web covering one of her breasts.

She later defended the dress and said: “When I wore the spider’s web dress this week I actually wore a nipple cover, and for me that was a first.

“I was thinking that it’s a family show and people talk about my boobs every year, so I thought I would wear a nipple cover.”

In the same year, a stunning navy blue dress with boatneck hemline was complained about for ‘showing too much cleavage’ – something Amanda herself laughed off.

A lemon yellow gown a few years later was given the same critique.

In 2023, she was further encouraged by new judge Bruno Tonioli, who declared “if you got it, flaunt it” as she joked about wearing “more rubber this year”.

During that season she was seen in daring outfits during every live show – whether it be a metallic, leopard print mini dress, or baring her midriff in an otherwise covered up outfit.
