SUPERVET Noel Fitzpatrick has spent years performing life-saving surgeries on pets in need.
But even his heart melts during a rescue special of his show tonight when he meets a seven-week-old kitten called Pretzel.
Here are TV Mag’s five telly picks for Thursday 13 June 2024…
The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick (8pm C4)
No matter how many times you watch Noel Fitzpatrick care for and treat animals in his own unique way, it never fails to amaze.
This time, Noel’s opening the doors of Fitzpatrick Referrals for a brand new series, starting with a Rescue Special.
Over the hour-long episode, viewers will revisit rescue patients from the past to show how Noel used cutting-edge technology to help them, before finding out how they’re getting on today.
These include a good natured German Shepherd called Bran, who required a custom hip replacement – the first of its kind for a three-legged dog.
Plus, Noel falls in love with a new rescue in need of his own special brand of TLC– seven-week-old kitten Pretzel.
And we warn you now, she will steal your heart too.
Happy Campers: The Caravan Park (8pm C5)
At Holiday Resort Unity in Somerset, Head of Security Simon is having a ruff day – in a good way.
The devoted dog-lover has organised the park’s very own version of Crufts and it’s far from a paw show.
Meanwhile, down at Cornwall’s Tencreek Holiday Park, Matt and his yellow coats launch a search for their most talented holidaymaker.
With a free holiday at stake, the performers pull out all the stops, and the competition is fierce.
The Outlaws (9pm BBC1)
Episode three opens as a national appeal for suspected murderer Rani is underway and The Dean’s contacts have threatened John unless they testify against her – so the gang hatch a plan to prove her innocence and track down who she says is the real culprit.
But with corrupt cops hanging around, have they bitten off more than they can chew?
Meanwhile, Gabby’s on a manhunt of her own as she makes it her mission to find a sperm donor to have a baby.
Another fun instalment of the clever comedy caper – and Christopher Walken makes a glorious cameo comeback.
The Hotel Inspector (9pm C5)
The last time Alex Polizzi visited The Loughborough Grange Guesthouse, then the LG Thai Derm Spa & Guesthouse, she unleashed her inner Gordon Ramsay on owners Hasmita and Barrett.
Cleanliness was a major issue and she even likened the place to a “knocking shop”.
Her tough love clearly did the job as, when she returns a year later, Alex only has kindly advice about decluttering the bar area and being proactive about promotion.
The Truth vs Alex Jones (9pm Sky Documentaries)
In December 2012, a gunman shot and killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
With 20 of the victims being children aged 6 and 7, the appalling tragedy shocked the world.
Yet one man – conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, whose Infowars website was hugely profitable – almost immediately claimed that the mass shooting was staged and did not happen.
This incredible film documents two defamation lawsuits brought by the victims’ families.
