A MASTERCHEF contestant had a disaster after burning his dish TWICE during tonight’s show.
This evening’s instalment of the BBC show saw three make it through to this week’s quarter final.
The contestants were first challenged with cooking a dish with a basic every day ingredient in just one hour and 20 minutes.
John Torode and Gregg Wallace then asked them to make a salad – but create their own Caesar dressing.
Half way through Rawdon had to re-cook his croutons after burning them in the oven.
Moments later Greg told the contestants: “There’s something burning in here… there’s something very angry.”
Rawdon opened his oven door and shouted: “Oh it’s me!”
Greg and John both gasped: “Woah!”
“I’ve done it again,” Rawdon confessed.
“Second set of croutons burnt.”
Those watching at home were shocked at the blunder happening not one, but twice.
One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Croutons are well and truly cremated!”
Another chimed in: “Yeah he’s going home isn’t he.”
A third added: “Who burns croutons this much. Last episode it was burned crackers.”
“This man can’t even cook toast,” A fourth tweeted.
Unfortunately it saw Rawdon leave the competition.
It’s not the first time that a huge mishap happened on MasterChef.
Earlier this week fans claimed a contestant’s fish start was “still swimming” when they served it up to the judges.
He was eliminated after serving rare tuna.
One viewer wrote on X: “The fish is still swimming.”
Another agreed, saying: “Tuna that was still swimming and venison that was still grazing. I know that fuel prices are bonkers, but surely they can afford to turn the hob up for a bit longer than that.”
