But during the show Michaela, 58, appeared to get too excited as she introduced their Blue Tit Bird nest camera.
She told viewers: “You can see it’s empty there, it’s not been predated.
“It fledged and the crowd went wild… yes!”
Over crowd cheers, she continued: “Oh yes! I can’t tell you how excited we were when we saw that was empty.
“This is what we got excited about today, this little Blue Tit, how can you not love it, this is the only survivor out of eight chicks, everytime those wings flapped we were rooting for it, come on!”
After her passionate outburst Chris told Michaela he was ‘running for the defibrillator’ saying: “I’m going to need one if you don’t calm down!”
However, Springwatch viewers at home were left less than impressed and blasted Michaela.
One said on social media: “Jesus, calm down woman. This isn’t citv.”
A second wrote: “Michaela doing a Meg Ryan over the Blue Tit chick.”
However, one other fan said: “All the #springwatch family rejoiced with Michaela as the Blue Tit fledged. Carrying the hopes of a whole family.”
Springwatch airs on BBC Two and iPlayer.
