Love Island star Nicole’s rugby player ex revealed – and he looks exactly like Ciaran

LOVE Island star Nicole Samuel’s rugby player ex-boyfriend looks exactly the same as her villa squeeze.

The Welsh lass has made no secret that she has a thing for rugby boys and now The Sun can reveal her ex is a dead ringer for Ciaran Davies.

Nicole dated Merthyr RFC captain Paddy McBride two years ago during lockdown.

A source said: “They were a big part of each other’s family and it was pretty serious for a while, but things didn’t work out between them.

“Paddy has since moved on and recently had a baby.”

Unearthed pictures show the former couple looking close on a family night out and on holiday abroad.

Meanwhile Nicole’s short relationship with Ciaran hasn’t been without its drama.

Tensions boiled over just days into the series as Nicole and Harriett Blackmore clashed after the latter broke girl code.

Nicole, 24, was initially paired with Sean Stone but quickly began bonding with Ciaran, who was partnered with Brighton girl Harriett.

Despite knowing Nicole had the hots for Ciaran, Harriett decided to crack on with him without warning.

When Nicole found out they had snogged in bed, she fumed to Jess White: “Is she taking the pi**? He kissed her last night.

“She just pulled me and said ‘be honest with me, be honest with me’. Didn’t even f***ing tell me Jess, that he kissed her last night in bed.

“She can f*** off. So can he.”

Nicole continued: “I’m actually fuming. If that was me, girl to girl, I would have said I’m not going to lie to you, we had a kiss.

“Instead of making me sit there and say how I feel… I’m not even upset, I’m wound up. I’m just annoyed now.

“I can do way better than the both of them anyway. I act way more mature. I was in that Hideaway and I could have kissed him there and then but I had more respect as a person.”

“Making me coffee this morning mind, telling me you want to kiss me last night and then gets in bed and kisses her.”

Then at an apparent swipe at her ex, she raged: “This is what the rugby boys are like. This is why I don’t go for rugby boys anymore, this is exactly what they are like from home.”

However, Nicole has smoothed things over with Ciaran and the pair are early fan favourites, while Harriett has now turned her attention to Ronnie Vint.
