TWO BROOKSIDE stars were unrecognisable as they reunited on the set of Hollyoaks, 21 years after the soap was cancelled.
Louis Emerick took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a wholesome snap of him and his co-star Michael Starke.

As they shot their first scene together for the soap, Louis took a photo to mark the moment.
In the snapshot, Louis planted a playful kiss on Michael’s head, while Michael grinned from ear to ear.
Louis portrayed Michael ‘Mick’ Johnson whilst Michael Starke portrayed Thomas ‘Sinbad’ Sweeney in the popular Brookside.
The popular Channel 4 drama series aired for 21 years before ending in late 2023.
Fans were excited to see the pair who played best friends back together.
Louis captioned the post: “Guess who I was working with today?”
One fan commented: “Brilliant to see you 2 together again! Brings back great memories of Brookie.”
Whilst another added: “Mick & Sinbad, loved these two buddies, loved Brookie.”
“Rolling back the years, just like seeing you both in Brookie again,” penned a third.
A fourth chimed in and wrote: “Couple of bona fide legends, you two.”
One fan, failing to recognise Michael’s new appearance, wrote: “Sinbad?”
Louis became part of the Hollyoaks cast in 2018, whereas Michael joined the show in 2016. Michael had last appeared on Hollyoaks as a taxi driver in 2021 before his recent comeback.
In the soap, Michael plays the role of Terry Hay whilst Louis portrays Mike Barnes.
Announcing the news he would be working with his pal Michael again Louis previously said: “Good morning all, exciting day ahead, its been along time comin..24yrs.
