LOVE Island’s cast of 2024 have been in the villa for a week, and unfortunately one star is yet to find any kind of match.
Now one former star of the show has said this current islander is getting a “free holiday” as a result.
On Sunday night’s show, Munveer Jabbal was seen talking to Jess White about potentially coupling up, with her letting him down gently.
Admitting she didn’t have “an immediate spark” with him, Munveer brushed off being put in the friend zone by Jess, who is currently caught in her own love triangle with Ronnie Vint and Harriett Blackmore.
As the scenes played out, Scott Van-der-Sluis, who appeared on last year’s series, spoke out with a cheeky comment made at Munveer’s expense.
Sharing a screengrab of another fan’s comment, asking where Munveer had been, Scott posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Enjoy the free holiday brother it’s brilliant.”
Fans appear to feel the same about Munveer, who was previously seen getting close and even coupling up with Patsy Field, though without a hint of potential romance.
He was also first coupled up with Mimii Ngulube, after they were both voted the “most boyfriend/girlfriend material” on the first day.
But despite his efforts, it seems he’s barely been seen on screen with any attempts at flirting falling flat.
Theories have ranged from producers “editing Munveer out”, something that was seemingly supported when the recruitment manager made lots of appearances in Saturday’s weekly Unseen Bits.
Other accused him of making a move on Jess in an attempt to get screen time.
Meanwhile, Scott entered Love Island as a bombshell on day 11 of the 2023 series, lasting 40 days before being dumped.
He later moved over to Love Island USA to try his luck again, before joining the cast of Love Island Games at the end of the year.
Fans briefly thought he might go back into the villa again this year, but Scott joked it off, saying instead he was in Asda before heading to Ireland.
