The Channel 4 soap called time on the character of Grace Black, played by Tamara, last year after a decade of seeing her on our screens.
The 46-year-old said at the time: “It’s absolutely devastating. When I got told, I bawled my eyes out for three days, I was so upset – it’s been the best time of my life.”
Meanwhile, Emma returned to the soap earlier this year – and previously opened up about being typecast after leaving Hollyoaks and struggling to get roles in the UK.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “When I left Hollyoaks I could barely get any interviews for months. Casting directors wouldn’t let me in the door.
“They would just see ‘Hollyoaks’ and say no.
“So when I came to America, it was incredibly liberating to be given the chance to prove what I could do, and that I could transform for roles.”
Steph told The Sun after 28 years of service she was devastated they wouldn’t save her character Cindy Cunningham.
Speaking about what she’ll do next, she told The Sun: “If it take a while to find the right role, I’ve got some time to not rush into the wrong ones as luckily I’ve always been a little bit of a saver.
“I’m not extravagant in my lifestyle, I live in a very modest three bed semi, I don’t spend money on designer clothes unlike Cindy I actually live very humble life. I’ve never been flash like her – I guess that’s why I loved having her as my alter ego!”
