MAURA Higgins has earned her place as a Love Island legend.
And I can reveal that after impressing bosses on the US spin-off, they have supersized her role ahead of the new series.
Maura worked alongside main presenter Sarah Hyland for 2023’s edition as the social media host, doing interviews with axed Islanders to stream online.
And she was back at the tail end of the year for the Love Island Games, which Maya Jama hosted.
But this time I am told Maura, who was a finalist on our version of the dating contest in 2019, will be in charge of an official sister show just like the UK’s Aftersun.
Ariana Madix, who first found fame on reality hit Vanderpump Rules, is her co-host.
A source said: “Maura is huge in the US, where they’ve really taken her to their hearts.
She impressed bosses, manning the social media show during the last series of Love Island US.
She then impressed them again on Love Island Games, where she even helped fill gaps in Maya’s schedule by hosting from the villa.
“They were only too happy to supersize her role for the new series.”
The Sun this week revealed The Traitors series one winner Aaron Evans will be among the Islanders for the US edition.
It begins on Tuesday and will stream on ITVX later this year.
