FURIOUS Love Island fans insist the wrong lad was sent home in a brutal twist.
Hairdresser Sam Taylor was the victim of a shock dumping after Joey Essex decided to couple up with his girl Sam Kenny.
There was outrage that the Islander’s stay had been cut short, especially when the public had no say and Sam had all the attributes to be a fan favourite.
Had an early vote have been done, Ronnie Vint may have been in trouble.
One viewer wrote on X: “Ronnie was right there, but the producers are sending sexy mullet man Sam home on episode 2 unprovoked when he could have just been single… this is exactly why Games & USA are rapidly becoming the superior shows.”
Another posted: “Cannot believe Sam is gone but that Ronnie dude still there … please god.”
A third said: “Sam better come back it should’ve been Ronnie.”
Semi-pro footballer Ronnie, 27, is good pals with former Islander Olivia Attwood.
Ahead of the show, he said: “I want someone that’s family orientated, caring and career minded.
“Lookwise, I like blondes with nice boobs but am partial to a brunette too.”
The sexy singletons were paired up in different circumstances this year.
The girls and boys were divided and told to rank themselves in the order of who was closest to relationship material. They were than partnered with the corresponding rank of the opposite sex.
The first half of last night’s show saw the couples getting to know each other.
Thirteenth man Joey had 24 hours to decide which of the girls he fancied the most.
There was then a special fire pit gathering last night and Joey had to pick the girl he wanted to be with.
He said: “I’ve decided to couple up with this girl because I feel like the past 2 hours in the villa, we’ve been the most flirtatious.”
Sam then read out a text that said: “Sam you are single and therefore you are dumped from the Island.
“Please pack your bags and say your goodbyes.”
Joey put his head in his hands and said: “I feel so awful.”

Joey is keen to find The One during his stint in the villa.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun before landing in Majorca, Joey, 33, said: “I feel like Joey Bond, the name’s Essex, Joey Essex. It felt like a military operation, not even the journey itself but the process of even getting through the application and to this point.
“I got on the plane to Ibiza. I made sure I wore my mask when I went out for dinner and then we got the boat over to Majorca to a villa hidden in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.
“I’m extremely single right now, so I’m praying that I’m going to walk out of the villa hand in hand with the love of my life. That’s my main aim and all I care about.
“It’s difficult for me to meet girls as they judge me based on a persona so I think this experience will allow people to see the real me.”
