Love Island is back with a brand new batch of Islanders[/caption]Who are the Love Island 2024 couples?
Love Island has kicked off and has unveiled its first couples of the 2024 series.
The ITV2 reality show returned to our screens on June 3, 2024, with its 11th series.
There are 13 new singletons all hoping to find love this summer, but 12 of them are already in a “couple”.
In a change from the usual way couples are picked on Love Island launch night, host Maya Jama revealed the pairs would be chosen in a different way.
Instead the Islanders were split into two groups – girls and boys – and they were told to rank who was the closest to relationship material, based on first impressions.
Depending on where they ranked, would determined which Islander they were coupled up with.
Mimii Ngulube and Munveer Jabbal

The Portsmouth lass proved a big hit with the lads, and came out top of all their lists.
However, despite Mimii and Munveer having a chat to get to know each other, she seemed to be swaying more towards Ayo Odukoya.
Jess White and Ronnie Vint
Ronnie Vint had a wandering eye during the first night of Love Island[/caption]Footballer Ronnie Vint seemed to have eyes for every woman in the villa so far.
He is coupled up with bubbly Jess White from Stockport.
However, during the show’s launch night he was seen having chats with all of the girls.
Samantha Kenny was one of the ladies who really caught Ronnie’s eye.
Patsy Field and Ayo Odukoya
Ayo has eyes for someone else in the villa[/caption]Patsy Field and Ayo Odukoya immediately went to have a chat once they were coupled up.
However, it was during this initial conversation that the Patsy made a startling confession.
I’m extremely single right now, so I’m praying that I’m going to walk out of the villa hand in hand with the love of my life. That’s my main aim and all I care about.
Joey Essex
She was heard telling Ayo that she “slept in a bed with her mum”.
Later on, the hunky footballer was seen getting close to Mimii, and was even talking about wanting to “kiss her”.
Samantha Kenny and Sam Taylor
Samantha wasn’t too keen on being coupled up with Sam[/caption]Samantha Kenny and Sam Taylor are coupled up in the villa.
After having a get to know you chat, the two Sams don’t appear to have hit it off.
Samantha was later heard telling Ronnie Vint that she wasn’t “too pleased” with who she had been put with.
The Liverpool lass was also fuming after she didn’t rank well in the boys list and was named “least likely to be relationship material”.
Harriet Blackmore and Ciaran Davies
Harriet and Ciaran were picked to be in a pair[/caption]Harriet Blackmore and Ciaran Davies are the only couple that seem to have hit it off.
The Welsh hunk in trunks has already endeared himself with fans with his hapless attitude.
I’ve always been one for relationships and when you have found someone you want to be with it’s the best feeling.
Sean Stone
The saucy Islander also made a shock confession when he entered the villa.
Ciaran revealed he had sex with a 42-year-old woman when he was just 18.

However, it’s too early to tell if they will go the distance.
They were seen chatting, as they tried to get to know each other.
But they both agreed they were keen to “talk to other people” as well.
Before going in the villa, Sean told ITV: “I’ve always been one for relationships and when you have found someone you want to be with it’s the best feeling.”
Who is single in the Love Island villa?
Joey Essex
Joey Essex is the only single Islander in the villa[/caption]When it comes to bombshells Joey Essex has to be the biggest surprise Islander that Love Island has ever had .
The Towie legend strutted in at the end of the first episode, and the boys in the villa looked worried.
As the reality star is the only single person in the villa, who could be about to ruffle a few feathers and steal someone’s girl.
Speaking about going on Love island, Joey exclusively told The Sun: “I feel like Joey Bond, the name’s Essex, Joey Essex.
“It felt like a military operation, not even the journey itself but the process of even getting through the application and to this point.
“I got on the plane to Ibiza. I made sure I wore my mask when I went out for dinner and then we got the boat over to Majorca to a villa hidden in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.
“I’m extremely single right now, so I’m praying that I’m going to walk out of the villa hand in hand with the love of my life.
“That’s my main aim and all I care about.”
