BGT fans think the show’s winner was revealed moments before Sydnie Christmas was crowned on stage.
Eagle-eyed ITV viewers think that her fate was ‘sealed’ thanks to a giveaway decision.
The singer won the 2024 contest[/caption]The star wowed the panel and the viewers at home when she delivered a pitch perfect rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow in the grand final.
Sydnie gained the biggest cheers of the whole evening as all four judges were left on their feet after her astonishing performance.
Soon after blowing them away, fans began to pick up on two clues that appeared to ‘confirm’ she would win the contest.
Her placement of being the last act to perform led fans to rumble that she would be chosen as the winner.
They pointed out that typically the act who performs last is handed the £250,000 prize.
This has occurred over the last four series except for 2023 being an exception.
In 2022 winner Axel Blake performed last as did the series winner prior with Jon Courtney.
2019’s Colin Thackery also performed last on finale night when he went on to be crowned the winner of the series.
It proved that Sydnie’s victory followed the exact same pattern after she was crowned the champion after performing moments before the voting lines opened.
The winner was also placed front and centre during the final line-up when the 11 finalists found out their positioning after the vote had closed.
Sydnie being in the middle allowed the star to be perfectly angled for the cameras and to be chosen as the champion.
Picking up on the two patterns, one fan said online: “Usually the act they want to win goes last and usually does win. Last year was the exception.”
Another penned online: “I said that Sydnie would be last on before show started and would win.
“How many times has last act on won? Results just about in ….see if I’m right.”
Sydnie was Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act[/caption] She wailed as she given the BGT crown[/caption]A third also echoed: “Obvs Sydnie Christmas is going to win #bgt as last on and will stick in people’s minds . She’s very good but sadly I have forgot some of the earlier acts who were equally as good.”
As a fourth went on to say: “A lot of people saying #bgt is fixed for putting Sydnie Christmas last therefore fresh in viewers mind right before they vote. I would say yeah it is fortuitous positing but she is incredible #bgtfinal.”
When Declan Donnelly asked how she felt after the win, Sydnie Christmas held her head in her hands as she as she struggled to speak.
“Oh, I don’t know what to say!” she finally uttered. “I cannot believe the amount of love that I felt since it aired… Oh my God, I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing.”
“It’s amazing, thank you so much!”
Comedian Jack Rhodes came second, and dancers Abigail and Afronitaaa came in third place.
Sydnie secured the win after an all-out battle from the top 10 of this year’s participants. – comprised of two magicians, one comedian, two performance troupes, a dance duo, a singer/impersonator and a choir.
