Scotland has sent a string of show legends into the villa over the years including Paige Turley, Anton Danyluk and Laura Anderson[/caption]

But viewers north of the border were left feeling snubbed by the sun-kissed telly programme– with no Scots in the OG cast.

Scotland has sent a string of show legends into the villa over the years, including gym boss Anton Danyluk, 29, and reality babe turned radio host Laura Anderson, 35.

A telly insider has revealed that a kilt-clad contestant is ‘guaranteed’ to be in this year’s intake of ripped talent.

And it’s emerged bosses have a major-shake up in store for this year’s line-up – as the bombshells will be seen as the main cast.

Our source in Majorca said: “ITV bigwigs let slip that this year’s bombshells are going to be the life and soul of the series.

“And there’s a high chance that there’s going to be a few Scots in the line-up.

“The bombshells are going to be the main characters this year – and there’s tons of them.

“It’s going to be an explosive series – viewers will be left on the edge of their seats.”

Love Island host Maya Jama, 29, added: “We’ve got to give everybody time, you can’t judge a line-up based on one photo and I think that’s really important.

“We have so many bombshells, so many people coming in.

“All you’ve seen is one photo without anybody even opening their mouths yet so I think give it time.”

It comes after the Scottish Sun exclusively revealed that All Stars icon Anton took a savage swipe at this year’s contestants.

He said: “It’s a shame to see no Scots on the starting lineup of Love Island this year.”
