The gym-enthusiast regularly posts workout snaps and videos to his Instagram account to the admiration of thousands of fans.
The hair stylist now plans on using his transformation talents to remake his subpar love life on the show.
In a recent Love Island promo VT, Sam told show producers that his mullet gets him ‘a lot of attention from girls’, seeking hair tips as well as his number.
Sam said: “I have been single for 6 months. I enjoy the single life, I am a big flirt and I do have a reputation going out with my clients. I love brunettes and I do go for blondes, but my speciality is colour correction so I can change them!”
He continued: “I do miss having that one person. In my old relationships, they got free hair cuts. I think I’ll thrive in the villa, but if all fails at least I can just offer them a blow dry.”
The self-described ‘flirt and spontaneous type’ knows what he’s looking for in the villa, and setting out to find ‘ a girl with a good smile and a connection. I’ve never really found it, I’m hoping I find that spark in the villa’.
Sam regularly posts videos and pics of his impressive hair dressing skills on Instagram thousands of fans looking to get hair inspiration from the Derbyshire-native.
His hair clients aren’t the only people who have remade their looks, Sam himself looks dramatically different to his previously shaven appearance.
The reality star no longer sports a buzz cut hairstyle, as seen in old pics with his friends that have resurfaced. The Love Island hopeful has now grown out his beard and a retro mullet hair style.
Sam recently spoke to The Sun on what he believes will make him a catch on the show, as well as hopes for what the Islanders will make of his look and personality.
Sam said: “I’d like them [contestants] to not judge a book by its cover, because how I look compared to what I do for work might not necessarily add up.”
He continued: “People wouldn’t look at me as a tall guy who’s covered in tattoos and think that I make girls’ hair look pretty for a living.”
Sam joins 11 other contestants looking to try their luck at love in the Majorcan villa, including London-born footballer Ronnie Vint, 27, Canning Town-native and model Ayo Odukoya, 25 and retail manager from Stockport, Jess White, 25.
Love Island kicks off at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV and ITV Player on Monday June 3, 2024.
