EAMONN Holmes has been consoled in his marriage split by a blonde divorcee in her 40s — who is a relationship counsellor.
The TV presenter, 64, grew close to the woman last year after they first made contact several years ago.
He has been on outings with the woman, including to a safari park, and showered her with gifts.
And he has endorsed a charity linked to her work, helping to host a fund-raising event free of charge.
Eamonn has never mentioned her name on social media and it is understood Eamonn’s wife Ruth, 64, was not aware of their liaisons until recently.
Sources say Eamonn treated his close friend to a Beyonce concert, a Center Parcs visit last year and tickets to see his favourite team, Man United, at Old Trafford.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was crumbling, but as details emerge, her upset has turned to anger.
“Eamonn’s friend is bowled over by being lavished with attention and kindness from him.”
The woman met Eamonn via Twitter after she commented on a post and it sparked a conversation.
Since then, particularly in the past 12 months, they are said to have become closer friends.
Pals say the woman’s counselling skills include coping with “feeling sad” and “separation and divorce”.
A source close to Eamonn said: “She works for a charity Eamonn is involved with from time to time.”
The Sun on Sunday broke the news last weekend that Eamonn and Ruth had split and are in the process of divorcing.
We revealed Eamonn recently moved out of the couple’s marital home in Surrey.

Cracks had started to appear in the relationship of the popular duo — who presented ITV’s This Morning together until 2021 — and they had not been photographed out together for two years.
The Sun on Sunday also told how Loose Women presenter Ruth had confided in close pals there is “no way back” for the marriage.
On Tuesday, Eamonn spoke on GB News’ breakfast show, which he hosts, of their break-up, thanking viewers for their support.
Ruth has recently been helping to nurse Eamonn back to health following a medical scare which resulted in him spending time in hospital.
During a discussion on Loose Women last month, Ruth confessed it would not bother her as much if her husband left her for a 25-year-old.
She said: “The worst thing is if he went off with someone the same age. That’s my worst fear.”
The Sun on Sunday approached Eamonn for comment.
