The Sun on Sunday revealed how bosses scrapped her mini series for This Morning after a producer had a fling with one of the contestants[/caption]

Last year Laura, 42, flew out to Barbados to film a brand new mini dating series for This Morning.

However, The Sun on Sunday revealed how bosses scrapped the show after a producer had a fling with one of the contestants.

The staff member later quit as an investigation into the show was opened by ITV bosses.

But despite her show being axed, Laura is very much still a member of the This Morning family.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I love This Morning, I was only filming last week one of their competitions and I’ve got bits and pieces I’m always putting forward to them.

“They have asked me to do a few bits and pieces but I haven’t been available for it.

“I done the marathon that took up a lot of my time and obviously I’ve been filming the new series of A Place in the Sun.

“It’s not that This Morning haven’t asked me to do anything I’ve just not been available, which has been frustrating.”

Mum-of-two Laura is back on Channel 4 with brand new episodes of A Place in the Sun every weekday.

Meanwhile, The Sun recently revealed how This Morning is facing a fresh crisis as viewing figures plummet.

Just over a million saw new hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard’s first day in mid-March.

By the same point in May the peak fell to 589,000 – with an average of 486,000 tuning in to the ITV show.

Meanwhile, BBC1 rival Morning Live had solid figures between one million to 1.4million.
