SIMON Cowell has hit back on Britain’s Got Talent ‘fix’ fears.
Following backlash as Trixy performed a mesmerising magic trick for the semi-final.
Simon Cowell defended his role on BGT[/caption] Trixy was praised by the judges[/caption]One viewer said: “What are the chances all the acts are backstage? If the answer is no way then the outcome was obviously fixed.
“The calculator number trick is one of those things that can be done with numbers. It’s not magic however, Trixy was enjoyable.”
Another insisted: “That magic trick ain’t fooling me that calculator trick was pre-planned asking the Judges why didn’t he ask the audience to keep it transparent and fair.”
However, Simon was adamant he wanted to tell fans the judges don’t get involved in any of the contestant’s acts.
Simon said: “No one ever believes that we’re not in on it.
“That’s the truth, we hadn’t got a clue. I swear to god.”
Amanda Holden also added that: “It felt like we were here to see your own show.”
Trixy, an electrical engineer and dad of two, had promised to create a “magical moment in time” when he auditioned for the show.
On Friday night – the final semi-final – Trixy went head to head with the likes of singer The Dark Hero, dance troupe Cyberagent Legit, comedian Alex Mitchell, choir Amasing, acrobats Messoudi Brothers, singing duo Denise and Stefan and Gambino Akuboy.
Britain’s Got Talent’s dancing duo Abigail and Afronita were the winners of heart four after they won the public vote and an automatic place in the final, with Northants Sings Out being voted through by the judges.
Sydnie Christmas top the public vote which meant she automatically goes through to the final, with singing impressionist Mike Woodhams getting the second spot in the final.
Magician Jack Rhodes received the most votes from the public and won an automatic place in the final.
After it was revealed Jack had won the heat two public vote, it was then revealed Haribow had come second in the public vote and were through to the final.
Opera singer Innocent Massuku also won a place, as well as Sslaubi Performance Troupe.
