SAM Thompson has revealed that he’s been ‘snubbed’ by ITV’s This Morning, as the opportunity went to a showbiz rival.

On his podcast Staying Relevant with best pal Pete Wicks, the 31-year-old talked about ITV’s decision to dress him as the ‘Dosh Man‘ for a competition segment, despite his desire to pursue showbiz presenting.

Sam had to don a ‘silly’ suit and take on the role of a fictional character called Dosh Man for a segment where he approached people to spin a wheel for a chance to win thousands of pounds.

The star revealed that he repeatedly approached ITV about a slot in showbiz presenting, only to be consistently told there were no available slots.

However, he later witnessed a showbiz rival doing exactly what he had wanted with ITV.

Sam said: “I’m trying to work my way up the ladder and I’m literally sitting there like ‘I know you’ve got to climb’.

“So I’m out there like, ‘hey, guys, can I do the showbiz news or like come into the studio and do a bit of auto-cue stuff, I’m alright at that’.

“And they’re like, ‘no, we love you on the team but we just think we’re going to keep you doing Dosh Man for a little bit longer.’

“And I was like, ‘ok fine’, so I’ve turned up my little action man suit, and, it is really nice to meet people, I do love that bit.

“But then they [ITV] were like, ‘we’ve got not spaces for showbiz, it’s already taken up and then literally the next day, ‘Will Best’ on the sofa, the Big Brother guy,” to which Pete replied: “Who’s that?”

Sam replied: “The guy who hosted Big Brother, never done it before, just on the sofa doing the showbiz news, and I’m out there in a f***ing -“

Sam won I’m A Celeb last December after fans fell in love with his bubbly and outgoing personality.

Following his win on the show, the star was expected to make significant career advancements.

Sam first gained fame on Made In Chelsea in 2013. He joined the cast alongside his older sister, former MIC star, Louise.

He started working as an intern for Jamie Laing at his Candy Kittens business, carrying out tasks such as picking up his dry cleaning.

However, after he had a makeover and a new white pearly smile, Sam stepped out of the shadows and confirmed his place as a key character.

One of his major MIC storylines was his high-profile relationship with Tiffany Watson.

Sam’s net worth is estimated to be around £1M.
