During her latest Loose Women appearance, her wounds were reopened as she couldn’t hold back the tears while speaking about her late friend.
Her breakdown on the show had many viewers worried, but now Jasmine has taken to Instagram and admitted to 175k followers that she still finds it very challenging to discuss Jonnie’s death months later.
She also noted that Jonnie’s death wasn’t the only troubling thing on her mind.
Alongside a picture of her with the panellist Kaye Adams, Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter, and Brenda Edwards, the TV star penned: “Thanks to the team @loosewomen for having me today.
“It’s emotional, and it still feels raw talking about Jonnie. It was really great to meet everyone today though, and thank you for your support.”
She continued: “To be honest, I was already feeling a bit sensitive today, having been reading the news about all the atrocities going on in the world at the moment.
“We should all support each other, no matter what we are going through. Sending lots of love.”
She followed up with a picture on her Instagram stories that read: “We are all the same people. Every child is our child. There is no us and them. Only us.”
Fans flooded her comments section with messages of support, with one exclaiming: “He was like a brother to you. He is very sadly missed xx.”
Another added: “Miss him and felt for you today, Jasmine.”
“Hello, just watched it on catch up, so emotional. Just shows what a special person Jonnie was and a super friendship. Enjoy every day”, a third penned.
A fourth chimed: “Ahh Jasmine, I thought you did so well today. I was emotional watching you. You look so fresh and well. Spain must agree with you!”
While a fifth followed with: “I watched this today, brought a tear to be honest, Jonnie was one of the best.”
Earlier today, the TV property expert reminisced over her fondness for her late friend, who sadly left behind a wife and three young sons.
As the cancer spread through his body and reached his brain, Jonnie had sessions in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which seemed to be helping.

She continued: “When Jonnie met Jess, his lovely wife, I just remember thinking ‘Wow, she is the one for him’. Then they had their lovely boys.”
Jasmine choked on her words as she admitted that the aftermath of his death had been a “hard time”.
Kaye saw that she was struggling to talk and quickly intervened to reassure her: “This is fresh, and I totally appreciate this, Jasmine.
“I mean, it has only been a matter of months since Jonnie passed away and the loss of a friend.
“All losses are difficult, but the loss of a friend going back 20 years is a particular loss. I don’t know, one reflects on their life.”
Tearfully agreeing, Jasmine grabbed a tissue and bravely expressed: “The outpouring of love for him has been amazing.”
