CORONATION Street fans have slammed the soap’s latest whodunnit as “boring” just as the murderer is finally revealed.
The mystery of who killed Lauren Bolton on Coronation Street will finally be revealed this week.
Lauren’s killer will finally be revealed[/caption] Roy is currently serving time in prison after being charged with Lauren’s murder[/caption] DS Swaine and detective Kit Green are investigating Lauren’s murder[/caption]The teen went missing after losing her job at Roy’s Rolls, prompting a police search for her.
When cops inspected her flat they found evidence of a struggle, along with a bloodied weapon they suspect was used to hit her over the head.
Her former boss Roy Cropper was charged with her murder and jailed as Weatherfield police became convinced that he is a secret sexual predator who paid Lauren for sex before murdering her in a rage.
The teen had been struggling to make ends meet and earned extra cash by posting X-rated content on porn site Ovidz before her disappearance.
However, aside from this and her being sacked, the police have no evidence to suggest that Roy did kill her.
Now Corrie fans think the whodunnit storyline as gone on for far too long and are growing bored of the plot and demanding it to end.
Taking to a fan forum, one viewer wrote: “Totally boring who cares about Lauren. She was hardly a top character.
“Just hurry up and reveal who has her or has killed her although I think that’s already out there and get poor Roy out NOW!”
Another added: “With this storyline dragging on and on, no wonder people are switching off Corrie.
“I love it but I am finding it much harder to watch, even though I think I want to see exactly what has happened to Lauren, part of me just wants this storyline over ASAP now so they can move on.”
A third penned: “So far this week has been rubbish, I really expected more but this plot is even more boring than ever!”
