However the mother-daughter duo were in the mood to celebrate yesterday after Lorraine’s daughter Rosie Smith, 29, and partner Steve announced they’re expecting their first child.
Back in Glasgow, the ITV sofa queen looked incredible in a casual jumpsuit and wore her brunette hair down.
While mum Anne matched her daughter’s colour scheme with a grey jumper paired with a pearl necklace.
The pair chowed down on a mouthwatering chocolate profiterole with a succulent strawberry on the side.
Lorraine wrote online: “Mum continues to defy everything and everyone.
“Took her for lunch in Glasgow and we had a lovely time.
“Even managed a wee walk.
“She is the very definition of indomitable. So proud of her.”
And fans couldn’t get enough and rushed to social media with a string of lovely comments.
ITV co-star Mark Heyes wrote: “That’s wonderful. Send Anne a massive hug from me.”
Another said: “Gorgeous photo.”
A third added: “Oh wow, we can see where you get the youthful looks from. How glamorous is your mum.”
While one commented: “So lovely to see her! Sending big hugs.”
Elsewhere Lorraine’s daughter Rosie shared some sweet snaps of her growing baby bump as her due date approaches.
