LOVE Island star Ciaran Davies hasn’t even entered the villa yet and is already giving viewers the ick.
The 21-year-old from South Wales is set to enter the Love Island villa on Monday as the new series kicks off their summer of love.
Ciaran has admitted to sleeping with a 42-year-old at the age of 18[/caption] The Welsh islander says he hopes to be a nightmare in the villa[/caption]Speaking ahead of the show, Ciaran was quick to spill sexcapades from his past – with one shocking fans straight from the get-go.
“I do like an older woman,” he said. “The eldest I’ve ever been with is I think it was 42 when I was 18 years old.”
Speaking about the new clip on Reddit, fans have already said they found Ciaran’s comments inappropriate, thinking the age difference too much for a brag.
“42 with 18? That’s atrocious on behalf of that 42 year old,” wrote one.
Another added: “He’s great looking but 18 and 42??? That isn’t a flex. Bit weird on behalf of the 42 year old.”
“18 dating a 42 year old?? This isn’t really a flex..What business does a 42 year old have with an 18 year old?” said a third, prompting the response: “That’s grooming and soo many men don’t see it!”
Ciaran has already vowed to cause trouble while on the show, and admitted: “I feel like my head possibly could be turned in the villa.
“I hope I’m a bit of a nightmare to be honest, keep things more fun.”
However, he thinks it’s the “perfect time” for him to find someone, adding: “I feel like I’m mature enough for something serious with the right girl.”
As for what he’s looking for, he said: “Obviously looks but humour is a big thing for me, I’m a bit of a wind up so I want a girl who can give it back.
“Loyalty is another one for me, I think that’s the most important thing to look for in a relationship.”
But he will have to keep hit wits about him from the start, with show bosses confirming they are shaking things up this year from day one.
Love Island’s executive producer Mike Spencer told us: “There’ll be something very new, it’s not a public vote, but it’ll be a new way to couple up our Islanders.”
“I hope it’ll shock the Islanders and I think it will,” he added. “Because there will be an element of a new gameplay that will lead to their couples without them knowing it.”
Mike is hoping it will cause ‘chaos’ amongst the Islanders, telling us: “We’re up for anything, we’re up for changes. There’s so many dating shows on TV and there’s a real reason we’re in season 11 and not afraid to do something different.”
Love Island starts Monday at 9pm across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX.
