EAMONN Holmes fans have shared their concerns that his split from Ruth Langsford is taking its toll on him.
The TV couple shocked fans this weekend when they confirmed they are to divorce after 14 years of marriage.
Today Eamonn, 64, returned to GB News for the first time since the split was announced and fans quickly took to social media to comment on his mood.
One wrote: “Perhaps Eamonn should have taken a few days off. He has been exceptionally rude this morning both to his guests and fellow presenter.”
Another said: “Crikey Eamonn you are in a stinking mood this morning.”
And a third added: “Eamonn very bad tempered this morning.”
Eamonn used the show today to break his silence on the shock news.
The 64-year-old told his viewers: “Just before we move on we’d just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation.
“Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.”
It was recently reported that Ruth “orchestrated” their split while a devastated Eamonn “refused” to sign off on their joint statement.
The MailOnline claimed Eamonn “told friends he didn’t want to get involved” and “Ruth could do what she wants but keep him out of it”.
The statement eventually simply read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
While sources have said they are ‘dedicated to making the split amicable’, Eamonn has already left the family home for a property nearby.
